From the dashboard, click 'New Book' (top right). Give it a title — you can change everything later. Open the book, add a chapter, click into the chapter, and start writing. Your work auto-saves every few seconds.

Your writing is auto-saved to the cloud. If a chapter looks blank, click into the chapter list under the book — sometimes the editor opens to a different chapter than you expect. Use ⌘K (Cmd+K) to search across every chapter and book.

On days when starting feels impossible, click 'Just 60 seconds' on the dashboard. A timer pops up asking for one sentence. That's the whole goal. No pressure to keep going (though most days you will).

We count writing days this month — never a strict 'broken on miss' streak. Rest days are part of the rhythm. The dots on the dashboard show your last 14 days; rested days look peaceful, not red.

When a question or unresolved thought is nagging at you, type it into the Open Loops widget on the dashboard and click 'Park it'. It leaves your head and lives there until you mark it resolved.

Click 'Sit down to write' on the dashboard. You'll see how many other writers are working right now. Knowing others are writing helps you start. No chat, no pressure — just shared focus.

By default ChosenPages uses a small gold cross cursor as a faith-themed touch. To turn it off: on the landing/login pages, click the toggle pill at the top-right. When signed in, go to Settings → Studio → Cursor toggle.

Inside any chapter, click the 'Export' button in the editor toolbar. You can export the current chapter or the full book as PDF or DOCX.
