Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: October 12, 2026

Our goal: every writer should be able to tell their story with ChosenPages. If something is hard to use with your device or assistive technology, email glorifygodministry@icloud.com and we’ll help. We aim to reply within 3 business days.

1. Our commitment

ChosenPages, operated by Janelle Webb (Glorify God Ministry), is committed to making chosenpages.org accessible and usable for people with disabilities and to improving it continually. We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

2. Built-in accessibility tools

Because writing should be comfortable for everyone, ChosenPages includes options you can turn on in Settings and the editor:

  • Dyslexia-friendly and low-vision fonts (OpenDyslexic and Atkinson Hyperlegible)
  • A high-contrast mode, plus light, dark and automatic appearance themes
  • Bionic Reading to guide the eye through text
  • Read-aloud with a choice of voice
  • Ruled editor lines and adjustable editor fonts
  • An option to switch off the custom cursor

3. How we test

On October 12, 2026, we tested the public pages (home, sign-in, registration, help and legal pages) with the axe-core automated checker against WCAG 2.1 A and AA and fixed the issues it found, including color contrast and page landmarks. We review the Service again as features are added and at least once a year.

4. Known limitations

  • Visual and drag-and-drop tools: some planning and visualization features (for example, story timelines, emotion arcs and drag-and-drop ordering) are designed visually and may be harder to use with a screen reader or keyboard alone. We’re improving them over time, and we’re glad to help you reach the same result another way.
  • Decorative effects: some animated background effects are decorative. Turn on your device’s “reduce motion” setting, or switch off the custom cursor in Settings.
  • Exported files: PDF, Word and EPUB exports reflect the formatting you choose. Accessibility of a published book (such as reading order and image descriptions) also depends on the publishing platform.
  • Third-party pages: Stripe’s checkout and billing pages and Google sign-in are run by those companies and follow their own accessibility standards.

5. Feedback and help

Please tell us about any barrier you run into. It helps to include the page, what you were trying to do, and the device, browser and assistive technology you use.

We aim to respond within 3 business days and to fix problems, or help you do the task another way, as quickly as we can. See also our Terms, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
